It's been almost six months now, and the new team of Nitin Naveen has not taken over; the old team of Nadda is still managing all affairs.  The party president has almost finalised a new team, comprising new faces and a mix of youth and experience, says the source. Strong rumours are floating in the corridors of the BJP headquarters that B L Santosh would be replaced by Sunil Bansal, but a source says the party seniors and RSS want to give Santosh another chance to prove. Vinod Tawade is likely to continue and Ram Madhav is likely to be reintroduced in the team, the source says.

The party is a little confused about the name of a Brahmin face in the team. Manga Pandey of Bihar and Sudhansu Trivedi are in the race. Manga Pandey is desirous to get Alok Kumar, MLA from Dinara constituency, inducted in the ministry of Bihar. Tawade also favours his name as a serious and influential Rajput leader. He is from the Kushwaha party. Tawade suggested that his induction would give the party great strength in the area, sources say. Nitin Naveen, present at the meeting to decide the names in favour of Sanjay Tiger, an old acquaintance, but Tawade opposed, saying that his performance as minister was not good, according to a source. So it will be interesting to see how Nitin Naveen is allowed to have his choice in the team and people in state governments on an actual performance basis according to a source.
