A ‘Mangal’ Start For Mithilesh Tiwari In Bihar?

Heads are turning around with recurring developments in Bihar Cabinet expansion. Ever since CM Samrat Choudhary has taken charge, fate of Bihar Cabinet seems to be travelling through a maze of pivotal changes. One such change revolves around BJP’s integral face Mangal Pandey who has been considered as one of the pillars of party’s organisational stature. The inadequate attention to Pandey inspite of his senior position is indicative towards an air full of daze. A predominant part of BJP’s ‘mangal’ journey’s credit goes to how Pandey has been navigating the party in Bihar for years. He served as Bihar BJP President who stepped in every crisis situation as a troubleshooter. Saffron surging in Bengal involves considerable amount of strengthening being put by Mangal Pandey as he was party’s election in-charge, top source said.

However, another Brahmin face has emerged when it comes to leadership in Bihar. Mithilesh Tiwari, beyond running a coaching centre Tiwari has great ties with RSS and has been a close aide of ABVP. BJP fielded him from Buxar in 2024 Lok Sabha elections but he lost to RJD’s Sudhakar Singh. Tiwari bounced back in assembly elections 2025 by winning from Vaishali constituency. Bihar BJP organization in-charge Bhikhubhai Dalsania has been an enthusiastic advocate of Tiwari. Dalsania and Tiwari share strong RSS backdrop which provided a converging point to both of them, top source said.

Sources say that Mangal Pandey may bag a crucial organizational post in BJP President Nitin Nabin’s national team. National General Secretary with charge of an important state or Pandey could be inducted as a Union Minister. In any of the cases, Mangal Pandey’s position in Bihar seems to be getting blurry where Tiwari is forging ahead with strong backing of Dalsania.
